With Colette Power & The Barn Coordinators

This is one of a four-part retreat serices on the Brahmaviharas of 'Divine Abodes': four qualities of the heart to cultivate for wellbeing and liberation - loving kindness (metta), compassion (karuna), joy (mudita) and equanimity (upekkha).

Upekkha - equanimity - can also be described as steadiness, balance, equidistance, inclusion.

It can be illustrated by an image of a deep-rooted tree, drawing from the nourishment and solidity of Earth, but flexible when the storms of life blow.

In these retreats, we'll practise cultivating steadiness in the midst of our lives, through meditation in relative stillness and relative movement and in daily life activities and community.

We'll be learning how to remember the ‘bigger picture’ as we navigate relating to ourselves, others and our world in order to open a path of possibility and freedom.

Over the course of two years, The Barn will host four retreats on these qualities and you are invited to come to all four, or fewer if needed. View them here

This retreat is for you if:
