The Breathworks Mindfulness for Health Course

...is suitable for people living with a range of illnesses and conditions including chronic back pain, arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, post-operative pain, cancer, nervous disorders, MS, Parkinson’s disease, and other non-specific pain. This list is not exhaustive and we welcome your enquiry whatever your condition.

The courses is also suitable for those who care for others who are ill or in pain. Mindfulness techniques are also highly effective in treating the stress and depression which often accompanies illness and pain.

Each week we teach new techniques, provide new ‘tools’ as well as go over things we have already presented. Sometimes it happens that you cannot get to the class on a particular week because of a flare-up or other illness or for some other reason. If this happens we will send you details of what we covered in the class you miss as well as other material we gave out on the course that week. The only requirement for joining the course is a willingness and commitment to engage fully with the programme, which will involve practice at home between sessions for 30 – 45 minutes a day.

Mindfulness can help you to break cycles of reactivity and to regain a sense of initiative, confidence and control.
