I am a registered supervisor for Mindfulness Network CIC and a supervisor and a supravisor for Breathworks CIC.

As a senior mindfulness teacher and trainer with Breathworks CIC I teach Breathworks Mindfulness for Health and Mindfulness for Stress courses. I also teach MBSR (Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction), Mindfulness in the Workplace Programmes and am trained to deliver Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). I’m an accredited trained teacher of Mindful Self Compassion (MSC, The Centre for Mindful Self Compassion). I’m also trained to deliver .b (Foundations) programmes (Mindfulness in Schools Project MiSP). I deliver this range of MBI’s across a variety of contexts, e.g. education, health and the business sector. I lead on Breathworks teacher-training retreats.

I access supervision and supravision (for the supervisory work I do), with Pamela Erdmann (Centre for Mindfulness, Massachusetts, USA) and from the centre for Mindful Self Compassion (Michelle Becker).

What I Offer

I offer supervison for mindfuless teachers and trainers and supravision for mindfulness supervisors.

The sessions are 30 or 60 minute long and held via Skype or WhatsApp or telephone depending on your preference.

I'm interested in your personal processing, in how you meet mindfully (or otherwise) whatever arises during teaching, preparation and personal practice. I'm also interested in continuity; in how mindfulness is incorporated into your daily life and the implications that integration has for you, your practice and your personal development.

What Is Supervision?

Supervision is a space contracted between supervisor and supervisee and offers a space for the supervisee to reflect on their teaching practice, and to explore how their personal meditation practice informs and interacts with the teaching process. This space is also an opportunity to explore practical issues which may arise.

Making The Most of Supervision

It's useful to keep a brief record of any particular issues that arise during any teaching session so that you can refer to these during supervision. Its also useful to prioritise two or three issues you'd like to cover during the session, also noting down any questions that you would like to explore. Both you and your supervisor are responsible for staying on track during the session.

Cost of Supervision and Ways To Pay:

  • £50.00 per hour
  • £25.00 per half hour

Please contact for payment details.

Looking forward to working with you.

Feedback from Colette's Supervision sessions

Colette brings a quality of open-hearted, focused attention to her work as a supervisor, which I found enormously helpful in deepening my practice as a mindfulness teacher during my practice course. For me, working in supervision with Colette is like an experience of profound inquiry, with the teaching as one's practice. I found that not only did my teaching develop but that my own mindfulness practice also deepened - perhaps not surprisingly. Colette walked alongside me, asking deep, sometimes challenging questions, but always with a tenderness, genuine interest and lightness of touch that I found liberating.

I have loved having Colette as my supervisor. She is wise and kind and very open and generous about sharing her own deep learning from her years of experience. I feel safe to raise any issue and I have learnt so much from her that has helped me with my own practice and also with my teaching. I feel very lucky to have Colette as my supervisor and feel privileged to benefit from her intelligence, sensitivity, creativity and heartful honesty. Thank-you Colette!

Colette is totally authentic and that's something I really appreciate about her style of supervision. She is also willing to share her experiences where appropriate which has been incredibly useful for me. I have learnt a lot and continue to learn.

I felt very safe and taken care of throughout the process.

What I appreciated most about Colette's approach to supervision (and even more so with hindsight) was her ability to give me the space to find my own way, even if/when it was clear that what I had planned might well not work! This trust on her part in the process of developing and growing as a practitioner gave me so much confidence that although I knew I was at the beginning of my journey, I did have the what it took to become a sensitive and skilled facilitator.
